OCTOBER 1ST 2020

COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING – Washington Terrace Elementary

6 pm

This was a make-up meeting for the originally scheduled meeting on September 7th. Meeting on September 7th was postponed due to one-week school closure.

Community Council minutes:

Attendance:  Jared Abney (acting principal) Kristen Peer, Heather Spring, Nikki Kitchen (by phone), Jackie Messer, Cheri Wilkins, Morgan Wilkins, JeNae Clegg

  • Welcomed newly voted members of the council.
  • Watched Video about what our Responsibilities of the Council Members are and Reviewed Roberts Rules of order.
  • Jared Abney presented the 2020-2021 Trust land plan to the committee. Mr. Abney noted significant areas of spending.
  • Yellow hand out was given to all committee members to show amount of Trustland money for WTE for the coming school year.
    • Motion made by Heather Spring to nominate JeNae Clegg as Chair 2, Cheri Wilkins seconded the motion.
    • Motion made by JeNae Clegg to nominate Katie Amsden as Vice Chair seconded by Kristen Peer.
  • Video presentation and review of Title I plan. Community approved the Title I plan via signature sheet.
  • Discussed fundraiser of chocolate sales from PTA and those funds will go to help pay for Chrome books fundraiser will run for 2 weeks.
  • Cheri Wilkins motioned to end meeting and Jared Abney seconded the motion.
  • Meeting was dismissed at 6:40 pm
