Community Council Meeting October 21, 2020 6 pm
Washington Terrace Elementary – Meeting Minutes
Attendance: Nikki Kitchen, James Clegg, JeNae Clegg, Emily Hovey, Trista Keller, Heather Spring, Cheri Wilkins, Jared Abney (principal intern) Katie Amsden
Excused: Jamie Smith
Review of meeting minutes from October 1, 2020. Noted that Emily Hovey attended the Oct 1, 2020 meeting and it not noted on the minutes. With change to minutes of Emily Hovey in attendance, Heather Spring motioned to approve the meeting minutes and JeNae seconded the motion.
Review of Roberts Rules of Order by JeNae Clegg
Committee members review – need to vote in a vice chair other the principal. Cheri Nominated Heather Spring to be Vice Chair JeNae Second all approved. All committee members were in favor of the nomination.
Discussion of council Secretary, Heather Spring nominated and motioned for Jamie Smith to be secretary Emily Hovey seconded the motion. All committee members approved.
Budget Review:
Budget: $67,082.00 2020/2021
Current spending to date:
2879.55 aide salaries and 3500.00 for Dream box licenses
$6,379.55 spent so far. Balance is 60,702.45
There is another 20,000.00 to come out of budget for chromes and carts. School is going 1 to 1 in January (discussed the need to continue to lease the chromes and carts in future years)
Review of Goals and progress of Trust land plan:
Dream box and growth and Data (goal is 10% growth per month per teacher in 1st and 2nd grade end of year Goal is 85% growth for each 1st and 2nd grade class.
Report on DIBELS – by grade level
100% of Kindergarten made growth in KEEP testing
Report on Self Reporting indicators on Data Gateway: Tier 1 classroom with the LRBI, Brave tickets reporting and Leader in Me. Bulldog nominations were also suggested.
